Most Coloradans love the outdoors. But some activities are more comfortable in summer than winter. Adams County has a bounty of businesses that bring the great outdoors indoors as the temperature drops. Whether you’re looking for a roofed playground to burn your family’s abundant energy or a specialized gym to continue your fitness routine , check out these must-try rec. centers.

Frolic Play Space

The Scoop: This minimalist, colorful, indoor playground is as enjoyable for families as it is adorable. Children younger than 7 will love the toys, play kitchen, jungle gym, ball pit and more at Frolic Play Space. All-day admission is $6-$9.50 depending on age. Punch passes and memberships make it more affordable for your kids to have fun all winter. Frolic also offers music and dance classes, as well as parties that include exclusive use of the space.

The Scoop: You’ve heard about indoor climbing gyms, but what about indoor zip lines? Mid Air Adventures packs giant swings, zip lines, a 20-foot-tall rock wall, rope bridges and slides into 18,000 square feet, ensuring your adrenaline-seeking kids can get their fix of fun in cold weather. Drop-in play costs $17 for 90 minutes. Toddlers can enjoy a special area for $5.
