Throngs of eager shoppers waited in lines snaked around Houston-area stores Thanksgiving Day and into early Friday morning to take advantage of some Black Friday Deals.
A DJ and juggler rounded out the shopping party at Cypress' Houston Premium Outlets. Lines curved around buildings at 29300 Hempstead Road, where hundreds of shoppers converged on stores offering major discounts. The designer outlet shops opened as early as Thursday evening.
"We came all the way from Mexico for Black Friday," Ilse Ortiz said. She arrived about 7 p.m. Thursday and said she waited outside the Michael Kors store for roughly 30 minutes without yet stepping foot inside.

Outside store doors, security guards limited the number of people who could enter each shop.
"We've been waiting for three hours... (for) one store," another shopper said, adding that the deals made the wait worthwhile. "You can get a purse that's regularly $400 for like $130."
They joked they were shopping for Christmas gifts, among some goodies for themselves.
Elsewhere, Katy Mills Mall, Walmart and Toys R Us saw similar scenes, with hour-long waits just to get in the store. Some locals pitched tents outside Best Buy hoping to find electronics priced at half off retail prices.
