A makeup artist has drawn the hate of the internet after she tweeted a photo of herself sporting an Hurricane Irma-inspired eye.
Kali Harlow posted the photo on Saturday night when Irma was pummeling Florida.
The tweet collected 831 retweets and more than 4,200 likes, as of Wednesday morning.

The tweet also angered people who felt like the makeup was insensitive to those who have lost their homes, lives, and businesses to the historic storm. Irma has claimed more than 2o lives and resulted in power outages to millions, ABC News reported Tuesday night.
"delete this.. very insensitive for people who could lose their homes.. and who in the hell would find comfort in a makeup look?" @lucianaavee tweeted.
"yikes. this was in really poor taste. hope you can realize that and try to understand where all of the hate on this is coming from," @ReeseSkata added.
Bruce Willis, Jamie Foxx, Robert DeNiro, Tracy Morgan, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Leonardo DiCaprio, Al Pacino, Karlie Kloss, Matt Lauer, and many, many more teamed together to help raise $14.5 million dollars for Hurricane Harvey and Hurricane Irma relief funds for Texas, Florida and the Caribbean

Other Twitter users, like @kels1527, were far more supportive of Harlow, who never thought the makeup "could come out negative," she tweeted.
"I honestly was trying to help people find comfort somehow in something bad. As I am also trying to find things to ease my mind since my family, friends, and myself are in the path of the storm. I pray everyone stays safe in this storm and for those are have already been affected my prayers are also with you!" Harlow tweeted.
