Baby face destroys opponent

Ryan Benoit and Ashkan Mokhtarian had been engaging in an all out war through two and a half rounds before the man known as “Baby Face” delivered the brutal head kick knockout.

In the final preliminary card fight, Benoit stunned the at times cocky Mokhtarian with the deadly blow and put his name in contention with a knockout of the night contender.

Bad news for Benoit is that he’ll be ineligible for the fight bonus after not making weight yesterday but that doesn’t take away from just how spectacular this hit was.

After breaking his hand earlier in the fight, Benoit moved from throwing his right hand and instead opting for kicks.

That game plan worked incredibly well.

Bam Bam insane KO debut

Australian Tai ‘Bam Bam’ Tuivasa has made an incredible debut in the UFC after delivering a brutal flying knee flush onto the chin of Rashad Coulter.

Tuivasa and Coulter felt each other out in the opening minutes of the fight before Tuivasa began to take control.

Delivering a leg kick that sent Coulter to the mat, Tuivasa made his move and ran in landing the devastating flying kee that ended the fight.

Talk about making a name for yourself in the very first fight of your UFC career. Keep an eye on Bam Bam.

Fight of the Night

Damien Brown and Frank Camacho have ignited the Sydney crowd with a back and forth slugfest that contained no defence.

In the first prelim fight on the live coverage, Brown and Camacho stood toe-to-toe and just traded blows without any regard for protecting their own heads.

As the fight drew to a close in the third round both fighters dropped their guards and threw down as both became covered in blood.

It’s going to be tough to top that encounter for the Fight of the Night award.

The fight went the distance with the judges award the battle to Frank Camacho via split decision.
