Oaks Day: Ladies to take centre stage

Thursday, 09 November 2017, 07:45:50 AM. STAR filly Aloisia is the headline act in the Group 1 $1m Kennedy Oaks at Flemington.

The Aaron Purcell-trained three-year-old has been a sensation this spring as the distances of her races have increased and she will start a dominant favourite in the 2500m Oaks.

The fillies’ staying race is the feature event on Ladies Day at Flemington — the third day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival.

Frocks and fashion will be the highlight for most patrons at the track.
