Z Resorts and MetroNational have unveiled Houston's second Hotel ZaZa, which will open to the public on Dec. 1.
The Dallas-based hotelier and Houston-based developer are putting the finishing touches on Hotel ZaZa Memorial City, a luxury hotel and apartment tower at the corner of Interstate 10 and Bunker Hill near Memorial City Mall.
The 17-story tower, designed by Houston-based Kirksey Architecture and Kathy Andrews Interiors, features 159 hotel rooms and 133 apartment units.

Floors 1 to 10 will feature a range of king-sized bedrooms and suites. Some larger themed suites by Dallas-based Duncan Miller Ullmann Design were inspired by eclectic destinations like New Orleans, Cuba, India, Paris and Africa.
Hotel ZaZa has 11,000 square feet of meeting and event space, a restaurant called the Tipping Point and a "ZaSpa."
The McCarthy apartments occupy floors 11 to 17 above the boutique hotel. Resident amenities include a separate, ground-level pool and conference rooms. The units range in size from 530 to 2,000 square feet. The apartments will be managed by Lincoln Property Group.
Anslow Bryant Construction, a Houston-based general contractor, broke ground on Hotel ZaZa Memorial City in October 2015. Houston's first Hotel ZaZa, which got some social media buzz several years ago for a strange room, sits at 5701 Main in the Museum District.
While the Museum District hotel catered to many tourists, the Memorial City location may see more corporate visitors as well as suburbanites looking for a stay-cation, said Ian Bush, the hotel's general manager.
