OWA Amusement Park in Foley opened this past July to the delight of many. The entertainment district welcomed three new restaurants this fall -- The Groovy GOAT, Wahlburgers, and Hershey's Ice Cream Parlor.

Groovy GOAT

One of the coolest places to open is The Groovy GOAT, a sports bar and arcade that is certain to attract tourists in the coming months. The restaurant is a new concept developed by restaurateur Andrew Gross of Orlando, Fla.-based Sunshine Ventures, and it was the first eatery to open in late September. The menu includes an all-American based selection of burgers, nachos, sandwiches, signature dishes and more. The menu includes wings grilled over a wood fire, and their signature creation -- custom-made "Tableside Nachos Your Way" as well as a selection of "All-Day Hangover" twists on breakfast items served throughout the day.

The restaurant seats up to 280 people so owners are hoping to pull in sports teams and large groups from area hotels.

The restaurant features more than two dozen 80-inch TV screens and a 26-foot featured game screen, as well as 40 arcade games adjacent to the main dining room. Additionally, the restaurant is hoping to attract those over 21 years of age with its large square bar which offers many craft beers on draft.

Wahlburgers

One of the most anticipated restaurants at OWA is Wahlburgers which opened earlier this fall. The grand opening is yet to be determined but the restaurant has been bustling with folks wanting to sample a burger. The OWA location makes the 18th store of the growing hamburger chain, and the OWA location is the largest to date.

Crafted by Chef Paul Wahlberg and served with heartfelt hospitality, the chef-inspired menu features a variety of fresh burgers, house made condiments, crispy haddock, seared chicken and vegetarian options. Other signature items include Mom's Sloppy Joe, thin crispy onion rings, tater tots and thick creamy frappes and floats. Gluten free options are available, a press release stated.

Founded by Executive Chef Paul Wahlberg, celebrity brothers Mark and Donnie and other investors, Wahlburgers debuted in 2011 in Hingham, Massachusetts.

"While our menu has evolved, one thing that remains the same is ou

The restaurant encompasses 7,400 indoor square-feet in addition to a patio for outdoor seating that boasts a beautiful view of the sunset. Wahlburgers OWA also offers a full bar plus full and quick service dining options.

r commitment to serving you the freshest possible meals and providing a place where your family and friends can make fond memories. We're not kidding when we say that makes you happy," the press release went on to say.
